History of NHL jersey

, An interesting way to trace the history of the NHL is to explore the many different NHL jerseys that have evolved over the years. Today, official NHL merchandise holds its own in the sports apparel market, offering numerous colorful selections to choose from. A Tampa Bay Lightning Jersey growing trend in the official NHL merchandise market includes the purchase of vintage NHL jerseys. This allows you to further admire the changes that this intense sport has undergone.

The history of NHL jerseys can be divided into two periods, each one presents a different situation:

Before 2000, different teams\' NHL jerseys were manufactured by different compay, even though occasionaly in some years, most teams in NHL had contracts with one supplier. Manufacturers included NIKE, Starter, Pro Player,CCM, and Koho.

Since 2007: Reebok Edge
The Reebok Edge, is a new kind of NHL jerseys designed and manufactured by Reebok company. After three years of development, they were announced by Tampa Bay Lightning Jersey Reebok. It\'s said that the news jerseys are more fitting, and less water-absorbent, it\'s also more flexible than before. The Edge jerseys were disclosed at 55th National Hockey League All-Star Game and began to worn by palyers from 2007-2008 season. The new design became fashion, almost every team in the league made minor changes to their uniform design in connection with the new NHL jersey style. For example, the Jose Sharks, Tampa Bay lightning, Ottawa Senators, Vancouver Canucks and Washington Capitals redesigned their unifroms with a new logo.
The six original teams( not include Boston Bruins) and New Jersey Devils kept their previous styles, while the Devils announced that they wouldn\'t even have the plan to unveiling the Tbk Edge design. The Anaheim Ducks and Buffalo Sabres, both of them just redesigned their uniform before the use of Reebok Edge, left their jersey unchanged.
However, players complained about the distribution of logos. Citing player complaints, Reebok modified the Edge jerseys. The modified NHL jerseys, Edge II, made their debut at the 2008 NHL Winter Classic on January 1, 2008.
The Reebok Edge jersey continues to evolve, as the current Reebok Edge material more closely resembles that of the pre-2007 Tampa Bay Lightning Jersey CCM/Reebok jerseys than the original Reebok Edge material.
